Have you been trying anything new lately? It is good for our minds to get creative and learn something new. Since most of us are staying home, it is a great opportunity to educate ourselves in an interest that we have always wanted to do. Well, as long as it is something that you can do at home, you may as well give it a go right now ā¤
The new things that I am currently trying are learning a new language and pushing ideas with my art. I love watching Kdrama (Korean drama). They have the most beautifully written story lines and are aesthetically pleasing. Kdrama is magical in capturing your heart. I find the emotions and stories to be great like Spanish drama (which I am also a huge fan of). So since I have been watching many Kdramas for years, I thought it would be time to get serious about learning Korean ā¤
Different cultures interest me. I love hearing about traditions, nature, people and animals from other countries. It is beautiful how we all live on the same lovely planet, yet have different ways of life. Yes, there are things that we may not agree on. When you think about it, you may not even agree with a family member, so why would it be different with anyone else? Each of us being unique, is what makes our world more exciting š
So with my Korean, I am currently learning the basics off of YouTube, taking notes and doing my best to pronounce each word. This is the first step for me. Once I get better at it, I will purchase a good workbook to do exercises from. I am also thinking of talking to people on an online language service to better practice, as it is hard learning any language when you do not live in the country that you are learning about.
If you have time at home. Give learning a new language a try. It is wonderful to appreciate all of the countries in the world. We need to remember that despite our differences. We are all human who share the same emotions. We each get sad, happy, angry and excited. More love is needed and we have to choose to be kind to one another. Judging and being uninviting towards those who are from another country to your own, just makes the world less nicer to live in.
Let’s make the world a better place together by showing self-love to ourselves first. You need to learn to love yourself first as you cannot know how to truly love another person until you love yourself. I say this because yes, you may care for your family members but are you really showing that you love them to your absolute best? Think about that question deeply. When we love ourselves, we know how to treat ourselves in the most kindest of ways, which we can then reflect on to others that we come into contact with. It is beautiful š
The other thing that I have been learning is to push my ideas with my art. I am painting things that just happen as I paint. Not thinking too much of the process before hand. Doing this has allowed me to come up with ideas while completing the painting and it is great as the end result is different from what I would usually create. It is a lot of fun too and gets my brain working freely ā¤
Today on myĀ YouTube channel I am sharing with you a cherry blossom tree on an island acrylic painting. This painting idea happened fully on its own. I painted it with no intention or any idea in mind. I love how it turned out. It is odd and captivating. Painting brings me a lot of joy and makes me very happy š
