Sketching Bats is Fun – Art Study 🌸 artistbybeauty

Drawing is a lot of fun. My favourite media to draw with is coloured pencil. Second is graphite. Graphite is great to build up shadows (it also feels nice to blend with fingers).

Smudging is the best thing when sketching with graphite. I enjoy it so much! It is nice watching the tones and layers increase, and details build up through the process.

Whenever I am creating art I feel relaxed and happy. Drawing is a great way to take your mind off things, while exploring new ideas.

I encourage anyone to draw, even if you do not think you can draw. You’ll be surprised to find there is a creative mind inside each one of us. You do not need a lot of time to draw. Even just 10 minutes a day is a great way to start.

Nature is my favourite place to get inspiration from. I love to draw mountains, trees, sunsets, the ocean, animals and much more. Mother Earth is great!

I really do find bats adorable. I love their fluffy face, cute nose and huge eyes. They are odd-looking and remind me of creatures in fantasy novels. I guess it is because of the idea of vampires that bats always remind us of them.

I like to draw everyday, so I thought I my as well film most of my sketches along the way. It would be nice to share every single drawing but since I draw a lot, there would be too many videos, unless I put out even more videos each day lol.

It is nice to share drafts, studies pieces and doodles. Eventually I will share fine art pieces with you. My art is my life, as is my writing. Writing for me is my number one priority and goes well with creating art. I like to draw characters from my stories to help further develop ideas. It helps a lot.

Ok, I hope you enjoy the cute bat sketch. Thank you so much for reading and watching. Have a great day!

  1. Fun Fact I absolutely adore bats! My father in law is terrified of them but I really want to have a bat house in our yard. These drawings are just too cute for words!
