Art books are a great way to start learning as a beginner or expand on your existing art skills.
I love reading art books. Learning new techniques from different sources is great, as everybody has a different style of teaching. Watercolours, acrylics, and oils are favourite media’s of mine. My most favourite media to use when painting is oils.
Artist Painting Techniques – by Dorling Kindersley (DK) – I purchased this beautiful book for $45 from a local bookshop. I usually get my books online as they tend to be more cheaper, but I was out for the day shopping so I bought it. It’s always nice to support local small businesses.
This book is very helpful. It has four sections:
