The challenges that we face in life can be difficult and frustrating. This can cause us to give in to negative thoughts that we know do us no good, yet we sink into them. Everyone has both good and bad days. It is when we are having the good days that we need to increase our positivity so that we can better handle the bad days ❤
You may not be able to be positive 24/7 but you can do your best to take control of your thoughts in any given moment. It can take some time to develop this ability. All you need to do is start practising. Try thinking about someone who you do not get along with. Does the thought of them make you cringe? It probably does haha. That is fine. Now think of them saying something nice to you.
This may be difficult but it is important because whatever we put out into the universe, comes back to us. If you keep replaying arguments in your head of that person, you will attract similar experiences. Picturing them saying something nice to you can instantly adjust the way that you feel towards them. Once you have done this let go of the thought. The next time that you see that person, say something nice and kindly walk away if they say anything negative 🙂
When you truly understand that you can only control yourself, you realise that some situations are not worth fighting for. For one, fighting to be right is not worth it. You can never be right if the other person does not agree. They are entitled to their own opinion. Plus if they do agree with you, their view may change the next day and that is fine as well. I am sure that you do not like it when other people force their opinions and beliefs on you. It can be best to agree to disagree 😀
Doing so, stops you from getting angry or frustrated. A peaceful life is a happy life. If the other person cannot agree to disagree, simply walk away. You have a choice. To walk away is a choice. Sometimes we can be too quick to judge another person. If they are angry or sad there can be many things that are going on in their life. We all have moments where other areas of our life can impact us in a negative way. You can offer to help them.
Choose to keep your mind positive. Give yourself compliments, rewards for your hard work and have time alone to be deep within your thoughts. Daily meditation can assist you with being calm and having better self-awareness. To be calm is to be at peace with all. It is choosing to have good intentions and see the good in everyone. Self-awareness is an understanding of ourselves and knowing that our actions can impact others, so we choose to think before we act.
Breathing exercises are helpful. Our day-to-day busy lives can cause us to sometimes forget to take a moment to deliberately breathe. When was the last time that you took the time to be still and breathe? Both yoga and meditation are wonderful to do while being aware of your breath. Take a moment now to take in three deep breaths and breathe out. Breathing always relaxes me 🙂
