Past mistakes, poor decisions and bad things that have happened to us are each something that we are not proud of. It can be best to leave them where they belong… in the past. Yet, at times we can to look back, causing us to feel haunted by terrible experiences. We want to keep looking in front of ourselves but moving forward is not always easy ❤
As hard as it is, you need to keep looking forward to what is on your path in the near future. Doing so will help you better yourself and keep you motivated with your goals. If you keep looking back it can be risky, as when you look back at moments that you are not proud of, you may feel bad. This can bring out unnecessary mixed emotions from within you, such as sadness, anger and annoyance.
There is no need to remember terrible times. As long as you have already faced them and learned lessons from the experience, you can keep moving forward. If you have not dealt with past moments, it can be good to face them as soon as possible, so that you can carry on with your goals happily. If it is something that is tough to face alone, speak about it to a person who you trust or see your doctor for advice.
What we put out into the world is what we get back. It is good to share what you are truly proud of. Your dreams are something that you are passionate about, so why not be proud of them too? Talk about your dreams with those who are close to you. It can be nice to share your journey with your partner, friends or family. As long as you are not hurting anyone with your dreams, they should be supportive of you 😀
You can also listen to their dreams and struggles. You may want to pledge to each other that you will both support one another and keep each other on track with each of your dreams. Checking in with a loved one about your goals can keep you motivated, as you want them to see your best work. Also when you reach a milestone, it can push them to work harder and vice versa with you.
From time to time it is good to review your progress with your goals. When reviewing, you will be likely to compare yourself to previous years and moments in your life. It is fine to do so, just do not get caught up when thinking about past memories, otherwise you may dwell on it and feel hurt. As long as you know that you are doing better than the previous year, that should be enough to keep moving forward 🙂
Be proud of who you are and all that you do. Celebrate milestones by getting yourself a reward. Keep your mind positive by exercising daily, eating healthy foods and thinking positive thoughts. When you have a positive mindset, the body and everything else will follow. Love yourself and life. Know that lovely opportunities will appear to you ❤
