Taking small steps each day with your goals is something to be proud of. Every step is a step forward towards your dreams. If we choose to stand still and keep wondering what it would be like to achieve a goal, we will stay in that same spot until we decide to move. That is if we choose to move… ❤
Procrastination and self-doubt both prevent us from going for our dreams. Not trying to chase your dreams can make you automatically fail, as choosing to not do anything still means that you have failed. Failure is something that can rarely be avoided. No one can predict exactly what your future will look like. The person who has the best idea of what it does look like, is yourself.
Which is wonderful because if you do not like what you currently see for yourself, you can choose to change it. Life is not a race, so do not feel like you need to be an overnight success to succeed. The truth is that those who are successful, have been working on their dreams for a long time. It could be from since they were a child, that they had a vision of what they would like to do with their life 🙂
However, it does not matter when a person releases what they would like to achieve. As long as they choose to take action now, they can start working towards it. The more effort, discipline and consistency that is put into achieving a goal, the more likely you are to succeed. Yes, it is not clear where the finish line will be but you do need to have the will to keep trying and never give up.
Overtime you will develop a thick skin to block out any negativity. There is no point listening to people who do not believe in what you are doing or say that your dreams are not worth pursuing. Projection of ones beliefs is often what a person does when they see something that they believe they cannot achieve. So if anyone tells you that you cannot achieve your dreams, it is because they have set limitations for themselves.
What I find helpful that assists me with continuing to work on my dreams each day is writing, motivational podcasts, creating art, visualisation, exercising, meditation and thinking positive thoughts. Keeping my mind positive is the main thing that I focus on as when my mind is positive, my body and everything else follows. I believe that I can achieve anything in life 😀
Writing in a journal daily is helpful as well. It is therapeutic and eases my mind. When I am writing in my journal I express my emotions, mention what I am grateful for and come up with amazing ideas. Your life is an incredible gift to be thankful for. How great is it that we can choose how we want to live and express who we are every day 🙂
