There are things that we are proud of and happy to share with others. Good memories that will be cherished forever. Then there are the moments of bad experiences, that can happen due to poor decision making at the time. Such memories are ones that we would rather forget, as we have chosen to move on from them ❤
Every persons situation is unique to themselves. Something that is horrible for one person, may not be so bad for another. It can be difficult to move on from bad experiences. Not everything is a straight line that leads to a better future. Time and effort is needed to change for the better and put the past behind us. It can take weeks, months or years to move forward in a healthy manner.
Your mindset can play an important role in how you choose to continue moving forward. You can practice daily affirmations, think positive thoughts and create new memories to be happy now. Rewiring your mind by learning to be more positive can assist you with growing and get you excited about your future. Having new experiences may lead you to discovering things that you did not realise you were passionate about 🙂
Choosing to rewire your mind may have you consider going back to places where you had a bad experience and then deciding to create good memories there, to override the bad ones. As each person is different, this could be an opportunity for you to try to get better with creating new memories, as it may help you move on or it could do the opposite and make bad memories worse than what they were.
The choice comes down to you and what you feel comfortable with. You know yourself best. If it is not for you, it can still be wonderful to try new things but at places that you have never been to before. You could plan a lovely holiday to visit a place that is easy to drive to which you have not explored yet. Towns that are near your local hometown can have interesting places to visit within them 😀
Growing up in New Zealand, I travelled over majority of the North Island. The neighbouring towns near my hometown would have wonderful places that were different from where I lived at the time. Some had adorable cafes, small museums, boutique cinemas and galleries. I loved visiting each of these places ❤
It is amazing to find wonderful places that are not too far from where you live. Nature is always a great place to explore. Research to find your local national parks, reserves and hiking tracks. Walking out in nature can be freeing for the mind and assist you with finding clarity. Do your best to love yourself. Choose to move forward in a way that is good for your health and wellbeing 🙂
