Each new experience that we encounter can teach us a lesson. Whether it is a good or bad situation, we can learn something from it. Life is not a straight path. There are many paths which we can take, some that are not by choice. Every day that we wake up is an opportunity for us to work towards our dreams and overcome any challenges that come our way 🙂
Some days can feel like a battle, from the moment you wake up until the time that you go to sleep. Although everyone on our lovely planet has problems, we tend to forget and feel alone when dealing with our own struggles. Making a mistakes is not something that a person is proud of. When it happens we can retreat into our mind and hope that no one notices.
However, the truth eventually comes out. Whether we own up to it or not. When we are confronted about a mistake that we have made, we can feel ashamed and embarrassed. It is moments like this, that you can feel like the whole world is out to get you. The reality is that no one is out to get you, you have just made an unfortunate mistake by taking actions that lead up to it.
The good thing is that we can apologise where necessary and learn lessons from what we have done. If we make a silly mistake such as dropping a plate on the floor after dinner. We can clean up the mess and take a look at ourselves to figure out why we dropped the plate in the first place. The reason could be that we are overworked, causing us to be extremely tired. Maybe we were not paying attention. Whatever the reason is, it is good to question why the mistake occurred 🙂
If you make a bigger mistake, such as borrowing your friends car and opening the car door into a parked car. You will need to apologise to your friend and still review the steps that lead up to your mistake. Questioning why you opened the door quickly and why you did not look carefully before opening the door, are important questions to review.
The reason why we look over our mistakes and review them is to ensure that we do not repeat the same incident again. Both the embarrassment and disappointment should be enough to want to prevent future situations from happening. It can be good to play the what if game, such as thinking about the car door. What would have a happened if you had opened the door onto a person walking by?
Having empathy is important to consider others and how they would feel in particular circumstances. Life is about learning, growing, connection and love. With each mistake we make, we experience new ways of doing things. Further understanding what to do and what not to do. Consideration and love are needed to care about those who we come into contact with. Connect with others and learn from your mistakes 😀
