It can be natural to be kind to those who you come into contact with. Your partner, friends, family, coworkers and people who pass by. Any other person than yourself is usually easier to give compliments to. Why is it that we are so hard on ourselves? ❤
You are the one person who knows yourself best. Since you are with your thoughts 24/7, you know exactly what it is that you are thinking about and intending to do. Your mind is the true environment that you live in. It goes wherever you go. Making it understandable for you to be sad or angry when the thoughts in your head are creating a mess. Not many people can function at their best in a messy environment.
Even those who say that they work best in a messy environment, have their mess placed in a particular way. If you were to go to your friends messy room and start rearranging everything, they would most likely be annoyed as they would not know where their belongings are anymore. Have you noticed that with yourself? That you seem to know where your things are, even if your room is untidy.
It is funny to think about. Even when we are not tidy, we are particular about things. The mess in your mind can be different. You may have a bunch of tasks to complete for the day and find yourself rushing all over the place. Your thoughts are a mess and you would do better with a to do list, yet you are just going by memory. That is a mess of the mind which you can work with.
The mess that you cannot work with is when you are going from one emotion to another often. Being happy, sad and then angry, all in a cycle. It is a cycle that is not healthy, causing you to feel stressed and frustrated. In these moments of confusion we need to be kind and patient with ourselves. Take in some deep breaths, then sit still for a moment to clear your negative thoughts 🙂
It can be difficult to calm yourself in situations where you feel as though you are running out of time and need to get a lot of work done. However, rushing all over the place and not thinking straight may cause more problems for yourself. You may get tasks mixed up and have to fix them later on. Not getting them right the first time due to rushing, could make your workload twice as big for the next day.
Which is why it is best to be calm when completing tasks. You deserve to live a happy and peaceful life. Taking each wonderful day as it comes. We need to be grateful for waking up every morning. Being thankful brings more good into our life and beautiful opportunities. Appreciate all that you have and be kind to yourself. Sometimes you need to be your own best friend 😀
