Smiles, laughter and butterflies of the heart express joy. Happiness is a feeling that we get when reacting to something that makes us feel happy. Sounds simple, right? You would think that it would be easy to smile and be happy. Yet it is not easy for everyone.
People can believe that they will be happy one day. That all of a sudden after years of longing for happiness, it will appear before them and their lives will finally be great. It is sad that some feel that they have to wait to be happy. Imagine living most of your life unhappy? It would be torture. Not one person deserves to be unhappy. The good thing is that no one has to wait a long time to be happy 🙂
There are ways in which we can take action to bring happiness into our life. Notice how the word ‘action’ is needed to be happy. As with love, happiness does not just happen. Although it can feel like it can at times, it is the steps that we take which bring us joy. Think about a time when you achieved a goal and how you felt in that moment of success.
Can you see how action is connected to being happy? Another scenario to think about is if a friend was to give you chocolate every time you saw them. The first time you would be grateful but as they constantly give you chocolate it will not feel as nice as the first time. However, if you were to buy the chocolate with your own money, it will more than likely taste amazing each time you purchase it, as you earned it 😀
When you work hard at something and reward yourself, it feels incredible as you are acknowledging your hard work. This is how you can be happy often. I know with myself, I do not like the idea of assignments when studying but once I get started, I feel good researching and writing. Then when I have submitted it, I feel happy. Especially when I get my results to show I passed, that makes me very happy 🙂
The truth is, if you cannot be happy with what you have right now, you will more than likely never be happy. You need to find a way to appreciate what you have and who you have in your life right now. If you do not change, you may gain more success, leading to more money and still not be satisfied with your life. It is beautiful that happiness is not limited to people of a certain status.
Anyone can be happy with their life. It is all about your mindset and perspective. Set goals for yourself. Schedule time to work on your goals and stick to it. Put all that you can into achieving your goals and you will find happiness along the way. You may find that you are happy from the first step of writing your goals. A lot of joy can come from knowing what you want in life. Make it happen and go for your dreams ❤

It is now day 67 of my #drawingdailychallenge. I am currently working out a new post schedule for my blog and new content (see update post here).
