Passion and persistence are both needed when it comes to becoming master of anything. You do not need to be amazing at what you enjoy doing when you start but you do need to start to become great at it. It is not an all or nothing process. It is a journey that you choose to take for life 🙂
One that is thrilling, scary and exciting. Yes, there are many ups and downs. Times of confusion and proud moments. In our minds success can be defined as a point in time where we have achieved what we want in life, yet many can forget that it takes a lot of hard work to get there. People can give up way too early in their journey because they feel like they are not getting anywhere ❤
From my own experience, I have noticed a pattern where I thought I did good at something and shared it online, yet it ended up not performing well and then there have been moments where I thought my work was not my best, yet people loved it. Can you see how this can be confusing? It is the oddest thing but the truth is you do not ever know when something will do well and the times when it will not.
The beauty of it is that the work you put out now may not be well received, however, later down the line it can be appreciated. I have had this happen with my blog. Of course, at the start I did not get many views, looking at my November 2016 stats my views where 335 for the month. For the current month now as at May 2020, my monthly views are at 139.8k, with 6 days still left to go 😀
This just shows that it took time for my articles to be able to rank and be of value to others. I have not always been consistent with my blog but since December 2019 I have, and it has made an enormous difference which I am incredibly grateful for and will never take for granted. One thing I need to get better at is replying to comments on each of my platforms, it takes a lot of time but I have made a plan to implement from the 1st June 2020. There are so many exciting changes that I am going to be doing 🙂
With blogging I have learnt a lot over the years. I am not a master yet, as I feel with my views are now consistently much better than previous years but that has only happened since I have kept myself disciplined with my posts since December 2020. There is still more for me to learn. I feel like I am getting closer to my goal ever since I hit the 100k views a month milestone. This has motivated me to change things up on my blog which will be happening soon (see update post here).
Is there anything in particular that you want to become a master of? Whatever it may be, know that you have the ability to get there. As long as you take one step, then two steps and so on in that direction, your path will become clearer and lead you towards your goal. There is no simple way to achieving a goal and the answers only reveal themselves when you put in the effort. Only you can obtain your dreams for yourself ❤
Today on my YouTube channel I am sharing with you a bright happy trees acrylic painting. Trees are magical and make me feel better when I see them out in nature. Walking always helps me think clearer and eases my mind. My paintings often contain some form of nature, as the beauty is peaceful and relaxing to paint 🙂
