Both good and bad days happen. Ones that we wish would last forever and others that we want to instantly end. The wonderful thing is that there is always a new day to look forward to. A fresh start to try again if needed. When we are having moments of unhappiness it can be helpful to take a deep breath and think of many of the reasons to be happy π
What can you be happy about? There is surely more than one thing. You may have to dive a bit deeper into your mind, although it is not that complicated we seem to overthink in times of sorrow. What can we each be thankful for? Well, it can be the little things in life that are blessings. Yes, not everyone can do the things that we normally would expect given to us but we need to be thankful for what we have β€
If you can hear, be thankful that you can hear the instruments in music. If you can see, be thankful that you can see the faces of loved ones. If you can feel, be thankful that you have the ability to recognise different situations by touch. If you have a roof over your head, be thankful that you are sheltered from harsh weather conditions. If you can eat, be thankful that your body can accept food, powering yourself with energy π
Yes, some may roll their eyes to such things that seem normal, and feel entitled to having each of these naturally but there are others who unfortunately cannot do some of the above. Other things that we can be happy to have in our lives, are our loved ones. Whether that is your partner, family, friends or pets. They are each important and can provide unconditional love that is so happy and warm π
Love is an action that we need to show to those we care about the most. It is acts of kindness and affection that represent how strong our love is for another being. Every person on our lovely planet deserves love and to be loved. Even those who have done wrong need love to heal their hearts, as it is the ones with a broken heart who keep thinking they can never do any good, due to the lack of love in their lives.
Learn to be happy for what you have, if you are not already. Show appreciation for those you care about. Find joy in the smallest things. There are many things in life that you can be happy about. Even in moments of despair, we can push our minds to take a look at what we have and fight to appreciate it all. When you are thankful for what you have, more opportunities of greatness will come your way β€
Today on myΒ YouTube channel I am sharing with you a coloured pencil drawing of a snuggly mochi squirrel. Squirrels are cheeky and adorable when they run around to play. It is now day 57 of my #drawingdailychallenge. Mochi is a lovely dessert that comes in the cutest range of colours. I am creating mini comics of them (see mochi frog post here). I am also currently working out a new post schedule for my blog, as to why this past week has been different times than usual for posts. It is exciting to change things up and create new content. I will talk about this in my next post later π
