Having peace and quiet is good for your mind. A time to see your world clearly and focus on what you want to achieve in life. You need to have time to yourself each day. Even if it is for 10 minutes. This is especially important if you live with other people ❤
I know what it can be like living in a crowded household. As the eldest child of six, I would spend a lot of time with my siblings. Playing and taking care of them. Our house was often noisy as there was always someone talking lol. Yes, I did get headaches at times but still, I love coming from a big family 🙂
More than anything, it is nice to know that you always have someone to talk to when you have so many family members under the same roof. We would entertain ourselves by simply having a conversation, dancing to music and baking lovely treats. Family is something special, an unconditional love for each other. A bond so strong.
I can understand if you crave for peace and quiet, if you currently live with your family. Maybe you are a sibling of a big family or a parent who will not be moving out as it is your children that you have to wait for to grow up and leave the nest. It can be difficult to find a space in your home to hear your own thoughts ❤
This was the same for me growing up. When I lived with my family. There was pretty much no quiet time, unless we were all sleeping. I shared a room with my sister who is about 2 and a half years younger than me (I have four sisters and one brother). We had fun every night in bed telling stories. I would mostly do the story telling as I loved world building 😀
Talking about these stories at night was magical. We would make up our own stories as well as blend anime stories that we watched after school. It was awesome mixing Sailor Moon characters with people from Dragon Ball Z. It was always exciting to go to sleep each night because of this.
Some nights we would talk so much that our mother would tell us to stop and go to sleep, since it was late at night and we had school the next day. This just shows that you can find peace and joy with those you love. If you cannot find time for yourself, just enjoy your thoughts before you sleep, while you are in bed 🙂
I still enjoy my thoughts before bed each night. It gives me time to see how I am currently feeling, what I thought about my day and what I need to do tomorrow. Being in bed while you are all cosy with your thoughts is an amazing feeling. You can feel happy, safe and peaceful thinking about your goals and dreams.
Today on my YouTube channel I am sharing with you a coloured pencil drawing of a tranquil mochi squirrel. This squirrel is very happy with their acorn. If you have not yet, try mochi some time as it is delicious. It is now day 46 of my #drawingdailychallenge. Mochi is a wonderful dessert that comes in the cutest range of colours. I am enjoying drawing these mochi animals a lot and will draw more of them (see mochi frog post here) ❤
