Wow this is an exciting post for me to write. An extra exciting post I must say. As you got it from the title, I am incredibly grateful to have hit over 104k views and over 98k visitors on my blog for the month of April 2020. This is the first time I have had over 100k views for only one month. I wanted to start by saying thank you for all of your love and support ❤
It brings me great joy that I get to touch your heart with each of my posts. The point of my blog is to bring out your creativity and encourage you to keep going for your dreams. We are all on our own journey and it is nice to know that we are in this together. The emotions are the same. We each have moments of happiness, as well as frustration. The wonderful thing is that we keep going no matter what 🙂
Now, where did my journey with my blog begin? It was back in October 2016 that I was writing out my goals and dreams often. I would plan so much over the previous years in hopes of starting my dreams. I did not take action with my blog until November 2016, which is when I created my first blog posts on e.l.f. Cosmetics nail polish set (see first post here). I remember having fun creating paper flowers as props for the background of my blog photos ❤
When I put my very first blog post together and released it, I felt proud knowing that I was finally starting. I had no idea that anyone would read that post. It caught me by surprise when I saw that there were some views (I think about 5 or 12 views). I was already happy with myself for creating my first post. Each moment was a lot of fun, from taking the photos to writing 😀
I was not sure exactly what my blog was going to be about. I just knew that I had to start. Writing about the things I loved each day (up until around April 2017), motivated me to start to think about what I wanted my blog to focus on. I love both art and beauty, so I decided it would be best to focus on drawing and makeup. I had a break from blogging and came back with also my YouTube channel that I started in August 2017 (see post here).
I was happy to be back at blogging and also creating YouTube videos. The videos allowed me to reach out to other people on a different platform and be able to introduce them where possible to my blog. I always loved taking photos and had a fascination with making both makeup and art videos. My YouTube channel has been great as it compliments my blog and makes it easy to share videos with you 🙂
Since starting my YouTube channel. I had moments of being away from my blog due to work, study and life in general. I am very happy that I am now able to finally have a routine and focus on my blog. I have gotten stronger over the years. There have been times this year that I only had 3 hours of sleep each day of the week (this still happens more than I like it to haha), due to working full time, doing YouTube and posting everyday on my blog. I am glad that I am finally consistent with posting and that my writing has developed better ❤
Today on my YouTube channel I am sharing with you a thank you coloured pencil drawing of a lovely cute bear in a flower. Bears are one of my favourite animals to draw. They are beautiful. I feel very proud of this drawing and I will frame it as it is a lovely milestone to have achieved. It is now day 37 of my #drawingdailychallenge. I feel motivated and determined to change things up further on my blog. We are heading to the next exciting chapter ❤
