The littlest things in life can bring great joy. A bite of your favourite treat, going for a walk out in nature and spending time with family, are some of the wonderful gifts of life. There are many simple things that we enjoy throughout our lifetime and it is the little moments that seem to add up to greatness 🙂
Little things that I love the most are writing and drawing. Writing my own stories and blog posts allow me to express myself and bring the thoughts inside my head to life. It is a beautiful process, writing a story with many characters and describing the world that they live in. Although, the stories I write about are fiction, to me the characters are real and I am touched by their emotions ❤
I am sure you get what I mean. Especially, if you are the type of person that when you see someone who needs help, you want to help them. You are empathetic by nature and are likely to give more of your heart than you should but cannot help it, as that is just who you are. So yes, if you are like this, I can relate to the deep attachments formed with characters in a story.
There are times where I will read a book or watch an anime or movie, and it will get to a life changing scene where I know something bad is going to happen to a character. Even though I have read/seen the scene a million times and know that it cannot be changed, my mind still hopes for the best, that it will miraculously change for the better and all will be happy haha 😀
Surely, I cannot be the only one who thinks like this? When I love a character, I really love a character. Writing is great. Drawing is the other simple little thing that I find great joy in. I can be happy for hours drawing with just a pencil and piece of paper. Drawing relaxes my mind and allows me to drift off into a fantasy world. The more I draw, the more ideas come to mind. Ideas that I use for future drawings or otherwise stories.
Please understand that my little things could very well be big for you. We each have different values and live on our own terms. Drawing may be a luxury for yourself. Not everyone can afford arts supplies. I would hope at the very least that if you would like to draw, that you can start off with either a pen or pencil and some paper. What we value is unique to each of us and it is important we acknowledge that 😀
I feel that spending quality time out in nature or with loved ones is something that most can relate to. Possibly agree that this is a priority for each of us. It is free to walk around your neighbourhood and head to a local park. Parks are lovely to walk through as you can see the beautiful trees and appreciate the birds singing. I love bird watching (I have since I was a child). Watching the birds makes me happy, it is cute seeing them interact with one another.
Today on my YouTube channel I am sharing with you a coloured pencil drawing of a cat sitting on grass. They look adorable wearing a ribbon while sitting in between flowers. Ginger cats are my favourite. I will get one later this year. Cats are sweet and find the oddest places to sleep in. It is now day 32 of my #drawingdailychallenge ❤
