How well have you been taking care of yourself lately? To take care of yourself is to look after both your mind and body. With our mind, we need to make sure that our mental health is good. We also need to check in with our body, ensuring that we are eating good foods and getting some form of daily exercise πŸ™‚

Both taking care of your mind and body sounds simple, yet they are not. There are not many people that I know, that would refuse to eat a delicious cupcake or some chocolate. The same goes with people exercising on a daily basis, I do not know many that do. Some may even joke that walking to the kitchen is their daily exercise lol. Yes, it is funny but we do need to be serious when it comes to our health and well-being ❀

Although it is difficult for many, we do need to try our best to be healthier. Having someone else that you live with participate (the more people the better) in improving the mind and body to good health, can help you feel motivated and likely to stick to it. As when one person falls off the goal, the other can remind them why they started in the first place and why they are doing it together πŸ˜€

Some simple ways that you can change your eating habits can include thinking positive thoughts, no longer buying takeout, choosing to cook over instant meals, drinking water from a reusable bottle and following people on social media that eat healthily. Implementing a little of these into your daily life, will make a big difference. Take notes from each day about how you are feeling. A notebook can help with both developing healthy eating habits and exercising daily πŸ™‚

You would be surprised with how much our mind has the power to shift how we feel about something. You can re-train your mind to think mainly positive thoughts, so that when it comes to food and you start to reach for a cupcake. Your mind will remind you that it is not worth eating. As with a lot of snacks and treats, they contain a lot of sugar and fat (as to why they taste so good). The feel-good feeling that comes with eating these kinds of food, is short-term and all of a sudden makes you feel horrible after eating.

I am sure that you can think of multiple times where you ate the same thing, over and over again, knowing that it would taste great at first and that later on it would make you feel horrible. You may have pledged to not eat such foods again. Then before you know it, you would eat it again. It is basically a loop of pain and joy. Eating tasty foods are what we enjoy, so even though it is bad, it is understandable why we can choose at times to make the unhealthy choice πŸ™‚

Good food is spent with company. We know this due to all the holidays we spend each year with the ones we love. Food is what brings people together. Which is why it is great to have someone develop healthy eating and exercise habits at the some time as you. You will both learn to love healthy food and enjoy exercising. Doing exercises daily can give you more energy. So if you are feeling low in energy, try changing you diet and exercising for at least 10 minutes a day to start off with.

Today on myΒ YouTube channel I am sharing with you a coloured pencil drawing of two chibi’s cuddling. I would love to sit on a big strawberry like that lol. Strawberries are great but banana is my favourite fruit. It is now day 24 of my #drawingdailytofightcoronavirus challenge. I will continue to keep drawing until we beat coronavirus. Stay healthy and safe by practising social distancing. Let’s all feed our minds with good, happy thoughts to keep ourselves strong and our hearts kind. Keep staying home so that we can help reduce the chance of spreading coronavirus (COVID-19) ❀
