Embrace Yourself, Be You, Be Happy. Coronavirus Drawing Day #18 – Coloured Pencil 🌸 artistbybeauty

To be proud is to give praise. It is a wonderful feeling knowing someone is proud of you, as it is to be proud of someone else. What happens if no one is proud of you? What if you show to others that you are proud of yourself? Do you know anyone who is proud of themselves or are you proud of yourself? ❀

Expressing that you are proud of yourself can be frowned upon by others, as people can see it as self-absorbed and unnecessary. It can make other people feel uncomfortable since taking pride can be seen as being above everyone else. Just like when someone always mentions their work status a lot, it can make people feel uneasy. Especially if the person who is proud of themselves is doing what the other person (who is witnessing) dreams of doing.

Yes, when a person feels bad about another person’s work status or lifestyle it is more to do with themselves, than the person showing their success. Comparison is truly the thief of joy. If you keep comparing yourself to others, believing that they are better than you in all sorts of ways, you will never find happiness in anything that you do. You will just be putting yourself down every time you have a negative thought about that person ❀

No one wants to feel miserable about themselves or doubt their choices in life. Yes, it is normal to review your life, to understand how you got to where you are today but it does not mean that it is fun to look at. The great thing is that you can learn to have a more positive mindset and become the best version of yourself. Whatever it is that you want to achieve, you can do it! πŸ˜€

You need to believe in yourself and not only plan what it is that you want to achieve, you need to take action everyday. It is the truth, you need to be doing something (even the smallest of things) each day to get you closer to achieving your dreams. Taking baby steps are key. Some people feel as though you have to “go hard” and “keep grinding to the max” everyday. Of course you can do that, if you want but all you need to do is chip away at completing small tasks on a daily basis πŸ™‚

Even just 10 mins a day will add up to 1 hour 10 minutes every week. You can start off small to first get use to it and then increase the time that you spend on each task. I cannot emphasis it enough, “baby steps” are the key to achieving goals. Why it works is because it takes little effort to begin with. You start to slowly build good positive habits that you get use to on a small scale and then with time, those habits become bigger and stronger.

Try it for yourself. Set out to do it as a weekly challenge. Let’s say your goal is to learn how to knit. You may begin with searching online and ordering a beginners knitting kit. Once you have received it, you can then begin your challenge. The first day may be reading the instructions for 10 minutes and the days onwards you spend the same amount of time learning how to knit. Before you know it, you would have knitted your first project πŸ˜€

Today on my YouTube channel I am sharing with you a proud cat coloured pencil drawing, who is happily sitting in a donut. They look cheerful and adorable. We are now up to day 18 of my #drawingdailytofightcoronavirus challenge. I am completing this until we beat coronavirus. I hope your days at home are going well. Keep your mind busy by doing things that you love. Keep staying healthy, be safe and practice social distancing. Stay home so that we can continue to reduce the chance of spreading coronavirus (COVID-19) ❀

I hope you enjoy the video. Thank you so much for reading and watching! Be proud of who you are and what you do. If you are not, please learn to be proud of yourself. Being proud is a good thing as we are each our own worst critic. We need to be more nice to ourselves. Have a blissful day!
