Nature has a great way of helping us relax. Going for a short walk can make all the difference to your day. Exercise is needed to keep us healthy, not only physically but mentally too. A walk allows us to clear our mind; helping refresh it to make room for new ideas 🙂
It is wonderful how this is not limited to some people. All that go out for a walk can benefit effectively from the daily activity. It can really change your life in a positive manner. If you are not exercising much or not at all, please start by going for a 10 minute walk near your home. You can also add a small amount of exercise to boost your health, such as press-ups, squats and sit-ups ❤
So for the first week of exercising, you can walk for at least 10 minutes a day. After the first week, increase the time by 5 minutes each week to take the challenge further, making it beneficial to get ultimate health. The first week will be 10 mins a day, second week 15 mins a day and third week 20 mins a day walking. You can stop at a time that you feel is best for you to do on a daily basis 😀
It can help a lot if you live with someone. That way if someone does not feel like going for a walk, the other person can show encouragement and remind them why they began doing this in the first place. Many will find it helpful doing it with someone that they are close too. Especially at the moment with the lockdown in place, there is a a two person limit with walking on the streets to help reduce the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Be mindful of the outdoor rules that your country has set in place. Depending where you are, you may not be able to leave you home at all. If it is the case that you cannot leave your home. Set an amount of steps that you want to achieve each day and walk around your home wearing a step tracker device or use an app. You may like to choose to manually count your steps since we are stuck at home and do not have much to do 🙂
Do whatever it is that you feel is best. The main thing is to ensure that you get some form of exercise daily. If you have children or a dog, take them for a walk if your able to. You can always chase them around the house. Do some fun activities with your children, like play hide and seek or get out some board games, which make everyone have to think and interact with one another.
Puzzles and creating art are both fun ways to bond together. Keeping our minds busy and healthy is very important, especially at a time like this, where we cannot go to places like the beach, art gallery or a museum. I enjoy puzzles as they challenge your mind. I have a puzzle app that I use often, where I pick a picture and choose the amount of puzzle pieces. The higher the puzzle piece count, the higher the challenge. It is great! 😀
Today on my YouTube channel I am sharing with you a pastel acrylic cheerful tree on a beach painting. I love how nature can make us feel so much better. I miss being able to go for extra long walks and go to the beach. For now at least I can go for a short walk and see the trees and birds as I walk by in the area I live in 🙂
I hope you enjoy the video. Thank you so much for reading and watching! Keep staying safe and healthy by exercising daily. Take good care of both your physical and mental health. Remember that you are strong and beautiful. Have a nice day!
