Life can be complicated at times. Having people in our lives is great and important as we each need support from time to time. It is good to have a close relationship with your partner, family and friends. However, when it comes to making decisions, even the smallest ones, we can tend to ask what others think before we take action ❤
This can cause a dependency to always check in with other people before making things happen. The more we check in with others about a decision and the more that it works out, tends to make us doubt ourselves. Leaving us feeling confused and unsure of what to do if no one is available to assist us. We have to learn to be confident in our decisions on our own and accept that we will make some mistakes occasionally. It is how we grow 🙂
I am not saying to never take advice from anyone, and I am not saying to never discuss a big decision with those close to you. I am simply saying that most of the decisions that we make, should be made by ourselves. As we are the ones who have to live with our choices. We need to continually grow and progress on our own, even if we are in a relationship.
When you are in a relationship, you each have a journey together and individually on your own. Just because you live with someone, does not mean that you have to have the same goals and dreams. You may have some common goals, such as wanting to buy a house together but you need to have your own goals and they need to have theirs. Otherwise you can lose sight of who you are ❤
During the current lockdown (due to coronavirus – COVID-19), I feel that many are realising that they have lost themselves in some way. Maybe it is that they put everything into their job, that they do not even like and now that they are alone with their thoughts, they are realising there must be more to life? It is good to recognise this, as it is never too late to change, learn or grow! 😀
I love to say, “Always stay faithful to your dreams”, as it is a reminder to myself to remember who I am and what my goals in life are. Of course, we must enjoy each day as it comes and not get consumed by aiming for the end result of our goals. We have to have passion in the journey and accept the detours along the way.
Today on my YouTube channel I am sharing with you a pastel acrylic crescent moon painting. I am sure for many of us, the moon is what we look forward to seeing in the night sky, as well as the sparkling stars. It is lovely seeing the moon go through its cycle. A full-moon is my favourite but I also appreciate a crescent moon 🙂
