Easter is a wonderful time to be happy, have good food and spend time with our loved ones. In a way, it is similar to Christmas, in the sense that it brings family members together and everyone enjoys sharing gifts. Many enjoy gifting chocolates to each other at Christmas. As is Easter’s main choice of gift – chocolate ❤
Many of us enjoy chocolate. The lovely sweet flavour, it is all so good. Especially when it just melts in your mouth. Chocolate does have a happy effect when you eat it. Taking you away on a beautiful journey in your mind, that you cannot help but eat more. During Easter we do tend to overeat delicious treats (as most holidays lol). It is hard to resist, so I get it. Do your best to not eat too much to avoid getting an upset tummy 🙂
Since we are all staying home for Easter, a lot of people have been turning to food for comfort. It is nothing new as we have always enjoyed food. Things are just different at the moment as many are bored, causing people to learn how to cook and bake. There are still takeaway options available where I live. However, some choose not to order takeaway as they are afraid of getting coronavirus through the food. Instead they are happy to be making the food themselves at home.
People have been turning to blogs and video tutorials for recipes. I love to cook and bake, before the lockdown most days I was already making food for myself but I have noticed I have been trying 2-3 more new recipes each week. Usually, I would try a new recipe once a week. I have been considering sharing recipes with you for a while now, as I always change up recipes that I come across to my own liking. It is a lot of fun experimenting with recipes and it feels amazing knowing you created something delicious, that others will enjoy too 😀
If you do not know how to cook or bake, now is a great time to learn. There are many tutorials that you can follow by either reading or watching. I prefer reading recipes from books, websites and blogs. You may prefer watching a video tutorial or maybe you will enjoy both reading and watching. There are simple recipes out there to start with. Some require you to use only as little as three ingredients.
It is good to get creative as it allows your mind to come up with different ideas. Allowing you to learn and grow. You may not be amazing at cooking or baking at first but each time you try, you will get better. Every individuals progress is different, so do not compare yourself to anyone else. The only person you should be comparing yourself to is yourself. Measure your progress based on how well you did the previous week ❤
Please take the time that we currently have at home to work on your dreams. If you are unsure of what your goals should be in life or you just do not know what to do, try something new each day. Paint, draw, cook, do some gardening, exercise… etc. Learning what it is that you are suppose to do in life, comes to you by taking action. Take the first step of committing yourself to learning. Learning one new thing each day, will get you going on your journey to your purpose 😀
Today on my YouTube channel I am sharing with you a super adorable coloured pencil drawing of an Easter egg chibi girl. She is just way too cute in her Easter egg costume. It actually looks really cosy haha. The weather is getting cold here in Sydney, especially at night. It is now day 16 of my #drawingdailytofightcoronavirus challenge. I will keep drawing daily until we beat coronavirus, we will do it! Please keep staying healthy, be safe and practice social distancing. Let’s all stay home this Easter. So that we can keep reducing the chance of spreading coronavirus ❤
I hope you enjoy the video. Thank you so much for reading and watching! Enjoy your Easter at home. Be thankful for all that you have in your life. Know that things will get better as we are strong and can overcome anything. Relax today and do what you love. Have a Happy Easter!
