Happy Easter to you! It is Easter Sunday here in Australia, so it may not be Easter yet where you are on our lovely planet. As planned, today I am going to relax, watch movies and create more drawings. I draw and write everyday as it is what the love to do the most. I hope your day is going well 🙂
I feel that it is important to still celebrate Easter this year, despite the difficulties we are going through due to coronavirus (COVID-19). We each need hope and happiness in our lives. Although Easter is definitely different this year (there is no changing that), we can still enjoy it to a certain extent. Doing fun Easter activities with those that we live with ❤
It is important that we stay home this Easter. I know, I am pretty much being a broken record repeating this but it is highly important. As we have been advised basically everywhere, that we must stay home to reduce the chance of spreading the virus. This is difficult to do for many as Easter is a holiday that is usually spent at the beach, on a camping ground or somewhere else in a public setting.
In Sydney, there are many wonderful events that we can usually partake in, such as the Sydney Royal Easter Show. It was cancelled due to coronavirus spreading and will not be back on until next year. This is disappointing for many (especially for children) as it is a yearly tradition for a lot of people to attend. It is understandable for the closing, as had the show commenced, who knows how much further the virus would have spread.
So since we are still in lockdown, in our homes, what we need to do is keep finding ways to entertain ourselves. Puzzles and board games seem to be quite a hit at the moment, with many people enjoying them with their families. I love board games, especially chess and monopoly. Doing puzzles is also a passion of mine. I have a puzzle app on my phone that play often. Puzzles are relaxing and a lot of fun for me. Do you like puzzles or board games? 😀
I have noticed more people getting into baking and sharing their creations through videos online. It is wonderful to see may people getting creative and out of their comfort zones. With those who have hardly done any baking before, now learning how to and sharing the outcome of trying recipes. Even when they do not work out, they have been sharing the results. It is great! As with anything, you have to start somewhere ❤
It is a great time to be creative. Please understand that it is fine to make mistakes. It is how we get better when learning. In order to grow, we have to make mistakes. Any skilled person who has mastered a specific skill, started from the bottom knowing nothing. It was with practising for many years on a regular basis, that they were able to get to the skill level that they are at today. So, whatever it is that you are wanting to learn, now is the perfect time to start. Just get onto it, do it and never give up, even if it gets hard! 🙂
Today on my YouTube channel I am sharing with you a sweet Easter coloured pencil drawing of an Easter bunny and some Easter eggs. Chocolate eggs and hot cross buns are my favourite Easter foods that I look forward to at this time of the year. We are now up to day 15 of my #drawingdailytofightcoronavirus challenge. Which I will keep drawing daily until we beat coronavirus. Please stay healthy, be safe and practice social distancing. Let’s all stay home this Easter. So that we can keep reducing the chance of spreading coronavirus ❤
I hope you enjoy the video. Thank you so much for reading and watching! Have a beautiful Easter at home. Enjoy good food, music, watch movies and get creative. Try new things. Now is a great time to try doing what you have always wanted to do. If it is something that you cannot do at home, research about it and make a plan to implement your goals for when this is all over. Have a Happy Easter!
