Life is best experienced when shared with someone else. It does not have to be a partner and it does not have to be one person. A partner, family or friends can each share amazing experiences with you and create beautiful life-lasting memories. They say life is short, so why not make the most of it and make the rest of your life amazing.
Yes, there are people who prefer to live alone, do things by themselves and not ever want to interact with others (including their own family). These individuals like to focus fully on themselves. Allocating time to work, study and their own passions. I can see why they love having a life like this. I, myself am an introvert. I use to be an extremely shy, quiet child and in some ways, I am still shy at times and enjoy being quiet.
It was strange, as although I was quiet in school, if I ever saw anyone getting bullied or being mistreated, I felt the need to help them. I would somehow become brave and intervene. To this day, I cannot stand when others feel the need to put another person down. It makes me feel sad and annoyed. The weird thing is, I would tell off the bully and then ask them further questions to find out why they were being mean spirited. I felt obligated to help them get better too.
Both people and animals have meant a lot to me. Whenever I am in a place with a large group of people, such as a work meeting or a party – I always scan the room to make sure everyone is ok. I have this need to make sure people are comfortable, even if I have not organised the event. It is something that I just cannot ignore because if I see that someone looks lonely, it is as if I can feel their pain. So, I choose to help by talking to them. Events are best when everyone is having a great time.
Are you like this too? It is difficult for me to ever be mean to anyone, even if they are not nice to me. About 2 years ago, I started to research about personality types and came across an online personality test on the website 16 Personalities. My result showed me to be an – Advocate (INFJ – A) which is determined by 5 different areas: Mind, Energy, Nature, Tactics and Identity. Each area adds up to 100 % and has a trait at each side of the bar.
For Mind (determines how one acts in an environment) I got 44% Extroverted and 56% Introverted. Energy (shows where mental energy is directed) I got 88% Intuitive and 12% Observant. Nature (determines how decisions are made and emotions dealt with) I got 34% Thinking and 66% Feeling. Tactics (is a reflection to work, planning and making decisions) I got 87% Judging and 13% Prospecting. Lastly, Identity (the trait that underpins all others and shows how confident one is in their abilities and decisions) I got 72% Assertive and 28% Turbulent.
It was eye opening doing this test back then and made a lot of sense. It is true that I go by my feelings a lot. Some have said to me that I care too much about helping other people but I cannot stop myself from doing that and I do not want to. I love to help others; it is a huge part of who I am. I will take this test again soon and film it so that you can see the outcome fully. People are great and so are animals. I feel that everyone should have a pet as animals can help with the mental health of a person. They are always there for you and will love you so much!
Today on my YouTube channel I am sharing with you a coloured pencil drawing of a cute cat wearing a face mask. Cats are adorable and make wonderful company. I am continuing my #drawingdailytofightcoronavirus challenge each day until we beat coronavirus. Everyone needs to continue to stay home and practice social distancing if we need to leave our homes.
I hope you enjoy the video. Thank you so much for reading and watching! Know that you are strong and can do anything that you want. While you are staying home, learn a bit more about yourself each day. Do more of what you enjoy doing. Have a nice day!
