Even in these current stressful times there is reason to give thanks. Being grateful for what we currently have and believing things will get better, keeps our mindset healthy and strong. Right now is the time that we strongly need to keep a positive outlook in life, even though it is hard ❤
If we do not keep our minds positive, we risk falling into despair; allowing hopelessness to control our minds which can be incredibly dangerous to our health. Extreme stress can lead to health problems and in the worst case, death. It is a serious matter to do what you can to lower your stress levels and help your mind accept that some things are not in your control. You can then look at ways that can make yourself feel better 🙂
It can be difficult to keep ones mind positive, if it was not – we would all be positive constantly. Holding hands, singing and jumping for joy at anything haha. There is one thing that I believe will help you be more positive but in order for it to work, you have to be consistent with it. It is to write daily on paper or in a dedicated journal what you are thankful for. As soon as you wake up each morning, write down 3 to 10 things that you are grateful for.
Start the sentences with, “I am thankful for…”, and finish it with what it is that you are thankful for. Things like the home you live in, your family, your dog, the belongings you have, your gardening skills… etc. Anything and everything, write them down. Doing this is a reminder to your mind what it is that you have and when you are writing them down, being truly grateful for them, it makes you feel good. It is an achievement to do this task everyday and when we complete goals, we feel happy. You win each time! 😀
It is amazing and will work if you do it right. You can do it! As it is a lifestyle change, so just like brushing your teeth, do it everyday and it will naturally become a part of your day-to-day routine. If you want, you are more than welcome to do the challenge for a week and then share your experience here in the comments. Once completing the challenge, it will be up to you to keep it as part of your lifestyle or not ❤
