Many countries are taking precautions to help stop the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). Doing so, people are in quarantine. Having to practice social distancing and cannot leave their houses unless it is for essentials (needed items). It is a scary time at moment that will hopefully end sooner than we think ❤

It feels as if we are being pulled in different directions with fear, confusion and being uncertain about the future. My heart goes out to those who have lost someone either close to them or that they know. It is truly heartbreaking that this virus is taking peoples lives away, who should have not died in such a terrible way. Each and every one of us deserves to live a full, long and healthy life. One where we can enjoy every day, spend time with our family and do what we are passionate about 🙂

During this unnerving time, all we can do is work on the things that we can control. Having quality time with those that you live with is great. Whether it be with a partner, children, parents or friends – right now is a chance to take those relationships to a deeper, closer and more meaningful level. Being isolated from the world will cause you to (if it has not already) self-reflect on what is important in life.

Re-evaluating everything of significance that you have done during your life so far. This is a great thing, as your mind is bringing forward questions, that you will have to answer. Even if you do not realise, it is happening. You will have thoughts on what it is that you should be doing with you life. Not only that, you will think about your relationship (if you have a partner). Looking at how you can make it better or may come to an understanding that you were drifting apart. You can choose to either repair the relationship or fully focus on yourself for the time being.

Yes, the mind can be a scary place. Especially if you do not want to face the realities of problems that you have been putting off for days, weeks, months or even years. Now is the perfect time to face your fears, write a plan and solution to aim for. You got this! Take the time that has been enforced upon you and use it wisely.

I know many of us are scared of things such as: the economy collapsing, no longer having a job, not being able to get a job or being evicted from your home as you cannot afford to  make repayments on your mortgage; or can no longer pay your rent. I have thought about this a lot. It is scary as I am currently not working. I have been job hunting for a while now and then all this chaos erupts. Yet, I am still grateful for my life. It may be insane for some but I rather be struggling financially than die from an illness.

Each day that I wake up, is a day that I give thanks to the universe. I am thankful for my partner, family and that I get to enjoy my passions everyday. Despite the unknown, I am very happy with my life and I hope you are with yours too. If you are not happy with your life, please write down what you enjoy doing and start spending time on them. If you have always wanted to write a book, now is the time to do so!
