Guinea pigs are the cutest little balls of fluff. Just like pigs, they constantly talk and make the funniest sounds. Their tiny mouths are adorable to watch as they eat grass, carrots, basically any vegetables and leafy greens 😀
When I was child we had guinea pigs as part of my family. My sister whose 2 and a half years younger (I have four sisters) had a girl guinea pig gifted from my mother, and I was given the boy. I would have been around 8 or 9 years old at the time.
We watched the TV series Hercules at the time (I grew up in New Zealand and this show was filmed there). Fantasy and adventure books, games and movies have always been my favourite genres asides from horror. I decided to name my guinea pig Hercules. He was so smart, I could let him out of his cage in the backyard and he would never run away.
My sister named her guinea pig Xena (as in Xena: Warrior Princess). Sadly my sister did not have the best luck with pets as Xena was killed by a cat. My mother replaced her with another Xena. Then there were two Honey’s and then two named Angel (each one at a time was either killed or ran away).
Poor Hercules must of had the saddest little heart as with the last girl guinea pig – Angel 2.0, ran away. I woke up to find my sweet Hercules laying on his side. He passed away. He would have been about 6 years old and guinea pigs do not live for that long so he may have died due to age. I loved him very much! I have never got another one since then, he was the best guinea pig and will forever be ❤
Today on my YouTube channel I am sharing with you a drawing of two cute little guinea pigs playing around together. Haha they look extra adorable being stacked up on top of each other like that. They are super playful. Such cuteness overload 🙂
