Ladybugs (also know as Ladybirds) are beautiful tiny insects. They are small, cute and harmless. Such precious little insects with the cutest spots. Ever since I was a child, I always appreciated it when a ladybug would land near me.
I can remember numerous times being happy when a ladybug would land on my hand. Raising my hand close to my eyes so that I could analyse the beauty of such a sweet tiny creature. Eventually it would fly off to land on the grass or head for a nearby flower ❤
I really enjoyed painting this ladybug. It was a lot of fun to create using watercolours. This painting has inspired me to create more art focusing on insects as they are interesting to study and can be beautiful to work with.
Today on my YouTube channel I am sharing with you a ladybug standing on a flower watercolour painting. I love playing around with thick textures, using different brushstrokes. It gives the piece more depth.
