Lipstick, mascara and a light foundation is all I need for everyday makeup. Occasionally, I will add a little eyeshadow and fill in my eyebrows. I find that the less makeup I wear in the daytime, the better I feel ❤
Lipstick is a favourite makeup item of mine as I love how a shade of colour can brighten up a look or set a mood for the day. Pink lipstick may mean ‘bright and bubbly’, red lipstick ‘fun and sexy’, and brown lipstick ‘confident and focused’. It really depends on what meaning you give to your lipsticks. We are what we think 😀
I purchased some makeup from Chi Chi Cosmetics (see haul here). I had rarely bought anything from them since living in New Zealand (over six years ago – I currently live in Sydney). Excited to try their lipsticks, I decided to go for the Chi Chi Lipstick Mini Set ($20 aud). The set contains six shades: Girl Next Door, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Fashion Editor, Hot & Spicy, Downtown Girl, and Beautiful Stranger.
Girl Next Door is a lovely soft rosy pink colour. It is as sweet and pretty as it sounds. I love the soft tone of pink. The lipstick glides on smoothly and is moisturising. This lipstick shade will be great for going out on a date and meeting up with friends.
Drop Dead Gorgeous is a beautiful dusty pink beige nude colour that evolves a level up from Girl Next Door. She is strong and confident! This shade is all things sweet, with a beautiful aura of knowing what she wants.
Fashion Editor is a stunning rosy brick red colour that is determined to make a statement, while having some fun! Not shy at all. She is all about not being afraid to stand out in a crowd and explore new places.
Hot & Spicy is a pretty warm orange red brown that is inviting and welcoming. A shade that is wonderful for both day and night wear. She is kind to all those that she comes into contact with – sharing a sweet smile 🙂
Downtown Girl is a natural peachy mocha brown colour that enhances ones adventurous soul. Shes is spontaneous and optimistic, looking on the brighter side of life. This one is positive and loves to bring out the best in others! 😀
Beautiful Stranger is a nice deep beige nude colour that looks natural and sweet. She is quiet and reserved. But do not let that fool you as once you get to know her, she will always be there for you as she is honest and loyal. Never judge a book by it’s cover ❤
I am very impressed with this mini-lipstick set as it is affordable ($20 aud) and contains six beautiful shades that go with any look you could possibly think of. The colours are so versatile!
