Happy New Year friends!! 🎉🎉🎉 2020 is finally here. Well, it may not be just yet for you as I live in Sydney, Australia. I’m sure you are excited for 2020! It is wonderful that it is not only a new year, but also a new decade ❤
Isn’t it crazy how fast time goes by? With each year it feels like it starts out slow in January, then its February and you think, “Wow, one month into the new year. That was quick”. Then Easter comes in April and from then on you think of every public holiday as a check point – like its a game, up until Christmas time. Then it all starts again haha 🙂
Ok, lets talk about resolutions. I feel with each year my list of resolutions gets smaller. It is good to have yearly goals but I believe you should be able to start your goals at any time and that they do not have to have a minimum time-frame of a year to complete.
You may require 2, 3 or 5 years to complete a goal. It depends on what you believe is needed to reach it. There are some goals that I feel are great to complete within a year and others that I prefer to incorporate into my lifestyle with time.
A personal resolution for myself is to be consistent with my online content. This is something that I have struggled with as you have most likely noticed. Life happens, so sometimes things get in the way, but this time I’m prepared. I have a plan on my computer in place with further goals and a schedule (that I can update each month).
Whenever I get an idea for a blog post or video, I will note it in my plan and produce content in advance. I study and work which can make it tricky to be consistent with my art and writing, so it is important for me to have a plan that I can follow.
I am very happy to be back at writing blog posts and making videos. I am glad that I returned to blogging before 2020 as I can ensure that I am consistent for the whole year. This is a great goal as I want to be able to measure my personal growth with creating content at the end of 2020. It will be nice to see how much I improve with my writing and art.
Today on my YouTube channel I am sharing with you a 2020 bright cat silhouette watercolour painting. I really love how this turned out. I’m going to frame it and put it on my wall in my art room to remind me of my goals.
