6 steps – How to draw a kawaii pineapple 🌸 artistbybeauty 🌸 Capili Jiron

Regina (author of Diversion3000 blog) suggested on my last photo tutorial to draw a kawaii pineapple.

Such a cute idea! So today I am sharing my steps on how to draw a kawaii (cute) pineapple 🍍

Here are the steps

Step 1: In pencil draw the pineapple shape (a shape that’s cross between a rectangle and an oval).

Step 2: In pencil draw the spiky leaves at the top of the pineapple. The first two rows of leaves (from the bottom) almost look like a bird looking forward spreading its wings.

The very top leaf looks like a ‘triangle’ and just underneath are two pointy leaves that face opposite directions (haha a little complex as an explanation but I am sure you get it).

Step 3: In pencil draw the eyes (circles), the mouth (shaped like the letter – U) and draw the cute hands (shaped like mittens)

Step 4: In pencil draw a line from the point of each leaf as in the picture above (some of the lines are slightly curved).

Draw a row of angled curved lines from left to right, then in the opposite direction (this time right to left) draw a row of angled curved lines that cross over the ones you had previously drawn (follow as pictured above).

In the picture above you will see that the curved lines each meet at the pineapple shape. You want a curved diamond pattern.

Step 5: Draw over the pencil lines with a black fine tip pen (I used a black 0.3 fine tip Copic) and erase the pencil lines (that may still be showing after going over the drawing with a black fine tip pen).

Step 6: Colour in your kawaii pineapple in whatever colours you prefer (I used Faber Castell classic colouring pencils).

Yay and your done! This is a cute and simple way to draw a kawaii pineapple. Thank you so much for reading.
