January 2017 – MONTHLY favourites

During the month of December I mainly wrote post on health, life, and wellbeing.

I did not try many products like I did in November and December 2016 (read other Monthly Favourites post here). I have been super busy with my studies, going to job interviews, and with my art work.

I am very excited to be sharing some of my artwork with you, near the end of this month. In my favourites for January I decided to include some of my favourite blog posts that I have written.

post-2-january-2017-pic-1Benefits of writing everyday – Blog postI really love to write everyday (not just on my blog, but also in journals where I come up with my own stories). Writing is a huge passion of mine, right next to drawing, and painting.

I also loved the feedback on this post, and I am very happy that you can relate to it so well (you can read my blog post here to see the benefits of writing everyday).

post-3-january-2017-pic-15th Edition – Metric Pattern Cutting for Women’s Wear – by Winifred AldrichThis book is my all time favourite patterning drafting book. I have referred to this book for many years. It is easy to follow, with clear instructions, and simple diagrams (you can read more about the book in a previous post here).

I really want to purchase the Metric Pattern Cutting for Menswear book, as I would love to master menswear as well. I have drafted some sewing tutorials, and will post my first sewing blog post on Thursday next week (Sydney time 3 pm on 23 Feb 2017).

post-6-january-2017-pic-1The Last Guardian – PS4This game involves a young boy who wakens to find himself near a mysterious feathered creature. The creature is basically like a griffin (half bird, half lion), except half bird and half dog (you can read more about the game here, and see other photos).

I really love this game. The relationship between the boy and the creature is so cute. I love the artwork style (reminds me of anime Miyazaki movies). I am still playing this game (along with a few others), I will start doing game reviews as soon as I complete the games.

post-10-january-2017-pic-1Sword Art Online: Progressive – by Reki Kawahara I love the Sword Art Online anime series so much! Kirito and Asuna are just the cutest couple ever ❤ ❤ I loved reading this manga, and need to buy more.

One Punch Man – by One – I loved the anime so much, so I was excited to read this manga. One Punch Man is super funny, and entertaining. Saitama is just the best! I need to also buy more manga of this series.

I received both these manga books in previous Loot Anime boxes by Loot Crate  (I pay for the quarterly subscription). You can read more about these manga books here.

post-14-january-2017-pic-13How to make Paper Flowers tutorial – Blog postWow I posted this tutorial just over a month ago. I have other neat DIY tutorials planned, that I really want to post for you. I love featuring these paper flowers in my photos as it gives a nice touch, and makes the background look pretty (you can read the tutorial post here).

I also like to use them as decor, sticking them on walls, cabinets, and on my book shelf. They make me so happy, and are cute. I have come up with a new schedule for my blog, so I will post a new DIY tutorial next Saturday.

post-6-dec-2016-pic-1Funko POP – FigurinesThese three are some of my favourite Funko POP figurines. I love Cookie Monster (from Sesame Street) as I also enjoy cookies, and he is blue (my fav colour). Vegeta (from Dragon Ball Z) has always been my number one crush from anime, and is just awesome. Sailor Mercury (from Sailor Moon) is my favourite Sailor Scout as she is smart, and has blue hair (you can click here to view closer photos of them).

Well that is my favourites for January 2017. Hopefully I can review more make-up products, and other things this month. I am keeping up with my studies so that is good, and I am working on some cool paintings.

Thank you so much for reading. Have a great day!
