PART 3 – December drawing challenge – CHRISTMAS 2016

For the month of December 2016 I decided to draw Anime and Disney characters.

The challenge is to draw either Anime or Disney characters in ‘Christmas theme’ each day, with the last drawing being on Christmas day.

With each drawing I hope to bring happiness and inspiration to you. Each quote matches the drawing it is on, and is to remind us all that we can achieve anything that we set our minds to, and can be the best version of ourselves.

I thought I would write a few posts on my blog to share each of the drawings with you, as I have only shared these drawings on my instagram – @artistbybeauty

Each of these drawings are drawn using a fine black tip Copic ink pen and Faber Castell colouring pencils.

13) * 13 December 2016 * – The Lion King – I drew Nala and Simba as they are adventurous and explore a lot. The quote ‘Be free’ is to remind us to sometimes just go with the flow and not take life too seriously. It is always good to go somewhere you have never been before and do something out of your comfort zone.

14) * 14 December 2016 * – Pokemon – I drew Squirtle and Charmander from Pokemon as they are two of my favourite Pokemon. The quote ‘Be kind’ is to remind us to be kind with one another and share. It is so cute how Charmander is offering a candy cane to Squirtle.

 

15) * 15 December 2016 * – Dumbo – I drew Disney’s Dumbo as I feel that he goes through so much in the movie. The quote ‘Believe in yourself’ is to create the awareness that in order to achieve our goals and dreams, we must first believe in ourselves to get there.

16) * 16 December 2016 * – Pokemon – December 2016 * – I drew Mew from Pokemon as Mew expresses how they are themself, and do not change for others. In a good way though. Mew is so happy and has fun. The quote ‘Be you’ is to remind us to be ourselves and not letter anyone try to take our identity away. Meaning if you love makeup and sports do not be afraid to express your love for both, instead of just one or the other to fit in with other people.

17) * 17 December 2016 * – The Aristocats – I drew Marie as she is confident in herself and is such an adorable kitten. The quote ‘Have confidence’ is to remind us to have confidence in all that we do, and to stop second guessing ourselves with our decisions.

18) * 18 December 2016 * – Hunter x Hunter – I drew Knuckle’s (a character from the anime) ability ‘time APR’ as it is just the cutest, and has the most adorable voice. The quote ‘Enjoy life’s surprises’ is to remind us to not only go for our goals with steps, but to also enjoy all the little and big surprises that happen along the way.
